Cape Charles is a place to relax and get away from it all. The entire town is designated an Historic District. The beach and sunsets are awesome. The beach is a 2 block walk from the Cape Charles Hotel Historic Inn.

There are 2 world class Golf courses, great Chesapeake bay Fishing, Sailing and Kayaking. The Schooner Serenity goes out for 2 hour sunset sails, generally running on weekends only May through October.
There is also the circa 1910 Bay Creek Railway that generally runs on weekends offering one hour "Fun Runs" and 3 hour Dinner Excursions.
Keep in mind that Cape Charles is not the place to come if you are interested in shopping or nightlife, however, the Virginia Beach area known as "Tidewater” is 45 minutes away and has plenty of both. Please note the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel toll is $12 one-way, with a $5 return trip if made within 24 hours.
Cape Charles is on the Chesapeake Bay 8 miles north of the channel where the bay joins the Atlantic Ocean. Cape Charles is at the lower end of Eastern Shore Virginia and is known for its harbor, sandy beach, historic district, Bay Creek Marina & Bay Creek Golf Resort with its Palmer and Nicklaus Golf Courses.
